Ray Kane is a Managing Director at Bryant Park Capital.
Ray has over 25 years experience with the origination and sale of securities to investors in the private placement market. Transactions include a wide variety of structures involving mezzanine financings, second lien notes, last out participation securities, Term B loans, ABL facilities, cash flow bank loans, uni-tranche notes, structured equity and traditional growth equity, as well as non-investment grade and investment grade debt placements.
Previously, he co-headed the Capital Advisory Group at KPMG. Ray started the Private Debt and Equity Placement Group at Duff & Phelps Securities, LLC as well. Earlier, he co-headed the Private Finance Group at Houlihan Lokey. Ray was previously a Vice President in the Debt Capital Markets Group at UBS Securities. Earlier, Ray was an Associate with the Private Placements Group of Kleinwort Benson North America.
Ray has raised over $10 billion of debt and equity financing for companies in the consumer products, restaurant & retail, healthcare, oil & gas, transportation, building products, entertainment, aerospace & defense and food industries, among others. Additionally, he has strong relationships with over 250 of the leading capital providers in the structured equity, BDC, uni-tranche, mezzanine, structured credit vehicle, hedge fund, insurance company, bank and specialty finance company marketplaces, as well as with the specialty lending arms of the bulge bracket proprietary trading desks.
He served as chairperson of the Annual Mezzanine Symposium, the primary gathering of financial professionals to discuss the trends and applications of mezzanine financing and other junior capital products in the middle market in 2005, 2007 and 2011. Ray has also been nominated by the M&A Advisor, a leading publication focused on middle market corporate finance, as Financing Professional of the Year.
Ray received his MBA in Finance and Marketing at Columbia Business School, New York, New York, and completed his undergraduate studies at Loyola University in Baltimore, receiving a BBA, Cum Laude, with a concentration in Finance. He is a FINRA Registered Series 7, 24 and 63 professional.
