William M. Apfelbaum

William M. Apfelbaum is a renowned leader in the media industry with investments and board positions in more than 10 media based companies.  Until 2011 Chairman and founder of Titan Worldwide which is the fastest growing out-of-home company in history.

From mid-August 1989 until April 2000, Mr. Apfelbaum served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TDI, which became the country’s largest diversified outdoor media company.  Mr. Apfelbaum sold TDI to Infinity Broadcasting in March 1996, which was subsequently sold to Westinghouse/CBS in December of that year.  Mr. Apfelbaum was involved in the management of all CBS divisions.

Mr. Apfelbaum serves on the board of many corporations and foundations and is involved with many philanthropic endeavors.  In 1996, he founded the Apfelbaum Family Foundation through which he donates time and funds to various charitable organizations.

Mr. Apfelbaum’s public speaking engagements have included guest lectures at the Harvard Business School, which uses his restructuring model as a case study.  He also speaks at New York University, Columbia University and the London Business School.  He has been profiled in Forbes, Chief Executive, Advertising Age, Marketing Week, Campaign and Crain’s, among other publications.
